Celgar wrote:I was under the impression that twenty pounds of our wages per week is paid for us to do D2D every week of the year. And that everyone in the business gets that twenty pounds per week because it is 'fairer' - even if they have little or no contact with D2Ds. As opposed to the old regime where we used to get from 1.67p to 4.75p per item. Of course it would have been a lot more per item now if we had carried on that way.
3 Erroneous impressions.

1. Not everyone gets the Delivery Supplement. Mail Centre Supplement was around £8 per week when it started. Deliveries was and still is the highest supplement.

2. We are not paid any specific allowance, payment or supplement for doing D2Ds as a separate item. They were put into the measured workload during the same agreement as the Del Supp.

3. The Delivery Supplement is a payment for EVERYONE in the DELIVERY function and no one else. Even collections, unless they do Delivery work, do not get it. Its not a payment for D2D (for which we don't get any recognition) but a supplement paid to recognise the unique challenges deliveries face.

What caused these incorrect impressions. One single line in a CWU document: https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... ic#p253151" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed. D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement paid 52 weeks a year for all delivery employees (OPG and ORR) pro rata for part time employees.

please explain to me what it is plz , wasn't the d2d money taken away from delivery staff and given a different name ? then shared out with all r/m staff and then called delivery supplement and isn't the reason its in 2 parts on your wage slip is because 1 part is the early morning money delivery staff use to get and the 2nd part is your share of d2d money , please explain as I could be wrong .

It is split because one part is pensionable and the other part is not

There is a delivery supplement for staff working in delivery.
There is a processing supplement for staff working in processing.

The calculation used to come up with the delivery supplement used the early shift allowance and the amount earned through D2D to come up with a figure. That is where the connection ended. The supplements only relate to the area a member works in.

The reason some members supplement is split is because the early shift allowance was pensionable and when members lost that allowance it would not have been fair to reduce their pensionable pay.

Bensonhedge.
I find your statement or reference to " trolley dollies" off the mark.
And self praise is no honour, too efficient? Take a pat on the back and slag others while you are at it !
If the revision stated trolleys to be used ! what's the problem ? Oh, the old adage of, so and so does a duty a quicker etc.
If others are paid OT to prep, d2d and mail that puts them over contracted hours or outwith normal hours they earn the OT.
There's a lesson to be learned in your post, do your job properly and forget what others do it's not your problem or business
really. It's a. Managers job to manage, your job to prep and deliver mail within your paid hours and claim OT when that work takes you OVER your time, simple really - init !

my point is,why am I getting penalised and missing out on the o/t when the people who don't even do the lapse are getting half hr a day to put d2d in? And I regularly do the cut offs for them, seems the better you are at the job the more you get shat on

You're too compliant benson, they know whatever s**t they throw at you you'll keep wagging your tail. Play hard to get once in a while and stop kidding yourself that you're better at the job. You're just a number same as the rest of us. A bum on a seat to management.

Usually the way Benson, the better you are at the job the more is expected of you. The slow people have stuff took off them. If everyone decided to slow down and drag it out like people have advised you to do royal mail would be shafted
