Second class sent Thursday

Post by matthew68 »

The service as we know for letters is terrible at the moment but at least we try to deliver first class next day. I say try although I know it doesn’t happen! But second class sent on Thursday is not getting delivered until following Tuesday as a walks on heavy day start Tuesday, this new dm is embarrassing and an insult to people who pay for a service they are simply not getting, I’ve had complaints about second class not delivered and now we just cut off as work load is too much. What is happening to this business?

It's being intentionally trashed to get the USO watered down even more.

My Parents are lucky to get mail once a week in their area and we received mail on Thursday past with dated lettwra from 18 days ago.

We don’t get much mail but have been waiting on a bank card now for 9 days and its now i realise what an absolute s**t show of a company this has become. A crowd of greedy thieving scumbags at the top, taking the Publics money and refusing to provide the service.

That’s terrible service, management have just pushed through dm26 with no planning or thought it just leaves you scratching your head a company the size of the royal mail pushing through these changes without even testing the walks fist! We have posties leaving after 2 weeks in the job now due to workload and stress, they say they can get same money elsewhere for much less hassle and work, with these heartless and greedy bosses they are asset stripping the business whilst they can, and yet still people come in early no breaks and run on delivery!

It might not even get delivered on the Tuesday as if it gets in the MECH then doesn't the system hold for up to 5 days unless more mail warrants being delivered earlier? In my DO we now seem to get inundated with MECH at the end of the week but hardly any at the start of the week.

If you send it on a Thursday and it doesn't get into the DTS system until the Monday it might stay in the system until the Friday, then get delivered on the Tuesday, which is well over a week after it was sent, that's only in an office with no DM26 back logs!!

That is most of Britain these days in every sector with a defunct government who own nothing ,i noticed the change happening after Blair got in,a Labour party that crashed Britain or a sign of the times with the rise of capitalism, socialism that left an opening for the rise of China. Dont think our country will ever be the same again ,once the older generation dies our youngsters will know no difference ,at least the French students are trying to fight back.

Yeah I've started bringing mail and tracked back now, with the extended times on this DM26 staying out tyring to finish just makes the day far to long.. One if the great things bout this job, a early finish is now a thing of the past

I guess some people don't appreciate working for a business which has become a national embarrassment?

If you've got a regular duty you've also got to face your regular customers asking you what's going on.

Spot on, they've shifted the full burden of quality of service (everyone's responsibility) onto the postie - the higher up the chain you go, the less they care about it. Am getting dog's abuse on the doorstep for decisions being made 10 levels up the ladder!! What a world we're living in.

I don’t think there’s anyone higher in the chain that could care any less than I do. Anyone that complains to me is told to ring the office, not my problem. As long I get paid, they can receive their mail once a year for all I care

That’s it, all I do is say to them ring customer services, we should not have to put up with it and I don’t.

some people like to take pride in their work mate, even when the people above us don't.
