Hi, I need some info if anyone can help, firstly if you chose a 9 day fortnight option 1, what are staff doing on the Saturday? we were originally told that we would be in groups on Saturday basically of two or 3 and just doing tracked and first class, so less in the office to enable more sats off but are now being told that because we chose the 9 day fortnight then we don't do that and it would mean just a staff member on each duty, so why wouldn't we be doing more than just tracked and first?
also as we will eventually get to a revision, how does with work with job shares I have had the area manager tell me that
1-whoever is the most senior then they pick and the other member in the job share goes with them essentially tied together.
2- That both staff members seniority is added together and divided by two and thats there seniority position, again tied together
3- most senior picks then the most senior in the job shares pick etc, not tied together
What I have been told is, but I will need to find it in writing is, most senior picks, if someone else wants that share then they get it seniority holds the field, so they are not tied together.
if anyone has int in writing then please can you put it in the thread, as I would need it in writing to show the managers, thanks for listening and the help

Saturdays are just tracked and 1st class (plus coincidental mail) regardless of which attendance pattern is chosen.

But you will obviously be doing 2 full duties of tracked and 1st class regardless of whether you have chosen a standalone delivery or van share.
To think you can do more than 150+ tracked and the 1st class is nonsensical. And also not part of the uso reform. Only tracked, 1st class and coincidental mail will be sent to the delivery offices on a Saturday anyway so im not sure what your manager expects!

yes he is saying. on sat regardless stand alone or share, basically our rurals are just to be one duty per duty holder, we were told two rounds into one at weekends but he is not now saying that

Delivery time will be longer on a Saturday though due to no mail prep or tie down.guardianangel wrote: ↑Today, 19:46![]()

if im on my own on a saturday on a shared van im only doing my walk there is no way im able to do the other so DM26 has failed before we start.
Going forward though, I think offices will need to get away from thinking about Saturday workloads by duties, it will become number of parcels.
