Does your office already work the Wallington system? Have been told that you can keep it if you already work it but it won't be available if you don't.

Most of our office currently work Wallington but we are not in the DM26 loop yet

What is a Wallington 2 in 5?

I never liked the idea of the Wallington week as you have to grind for 5 weeks with barely any time off. In such a physical job it is an awful way to work IMO.

You work 6 days a week for 5 weeks then have a week off, there is an extra Saturday included in the new proposal

Each to their own, plenty of opportunities to get away and enjoy your time off with Wallington while a single day off on for example a wet Wednesday doesn't really appeal to me

Definitely agree, taking your holidays into account assuming you get the full 30 days then you can spread them out which ensures there's only 5 times per year you have to go the maximum of 5 weeks between having a week off, which is favourable to me, oh and don't forget you also get an extra Saturday off every 5 in DM26 so in those 5 week periods there'll be a 5 day week.

Yes we are on wellington 1 in 6 atm

Most of the guys slip an annual leave in the middle week so as to only workn2 weeks before off again

With 2 in 5 we would work 3 weeks mon - sat and 5 days on 4th then have 10 days off

So a few thinking of putting annual leave the middle week of the 3 mon-sat ones

Our day will be

Mon tues thur Fri day 8 hrs

We’d 8hrs 30

Sat 7:40

So average 8:10

We are all rural and absorbing 1 rural duty mon -Fri

And 2 on sat

Only a small office though

I understand why people would like it.... but yeah, for me, the 6 day weeks would drag. A 5 day in a row week drags before and after a long weekend, so 6 would really suck.

I thought under DM26 it would be 4 weeks at 6 days then the 5th week mon-fri followed by the week off.

And 9 days off ?
