Because summer is usually the quiet part of the year i.e. the time you don't have to rush about like an idiot from start to finish and you can actually stop and talk to the odd customer! It also makes you wonder just how bad peak will be if it's this bad during the summer.

Quiet periods are long gone with the increase in parcel volumes. It’s only going to ever get busier.
My advice would be don’t rush around like an idiot. You don’t get paid anymore. Work to your time and volumes are irrelevant

Probably over 90% of what we scanned was Tracked. I reckon the average % of Tracked across the country will be around 80-85%

Yeah I know it's the way things are going, tbh looks like it's the plan anyway, anything that someone actually wants will be tracked, everything else can "wither on the vine"

Probably because it was absolutely not the job description at the time. There's been a lot of 'I have altered the deal. Pray I do not alter it further' over the years.

It's at least 90% are tracked in our DO and just the tiny packets which would fit through a letterbox are mostly the non tracked.

Absolutely, some people think they are heroes because they complete their delivery no matter what the workload, we are paid by the hour not by the amount we deliver, at least at the moment
