New P739 coming out

Post by yellowbelly »

New P739 coming out apparently. No need to write anything on it. Scan item, scan QR code on the card and Bob's your Uncle! Apparently!

Will make our lives wonderfully easy and we'll be able to sail through outdoor saving hours and hours to help other 'pods'!

Customers will need smartphone - or they'll be hanging on the phone to RM for hours...........

Writing a ‘Something for you’ (P739) card can be time-consuming and difficult in bad weather; the new
process requires less time at the door and no need to struggle to write on wet cards with pens that don’t
work.

This also:

• Aligns us to other delivery providers who use technical solutions rather than requiring the manual
completion of cards

•Provides improved communication for customers via a 9-digit unique ID and barcode or
‘Something for You’ enquiry line with less of a requirement to try to decode handwriting / partly
completed cards

•Gives an improved service at CSPs as partly completed cards will be eliminated

'if no information is available'...... You can't beat pen and paper. There is still room to write in the P739.

At least that's something. Using some common sense to make things more efficient.

Long way to go.

How about sorting the following next.....

- Making duties the same size and put them together in a logical way.

Usual RM approach slowly catching up with the parcel delivery companies, I think DPD have done this for years

I think RM decided a long time ago that if you're not online tough luck
