Just looking for peoples opinions on the pros and cons of both the 9 day fortnight and 2 in to 5 sat off?
Offices that have voted on this what was your chosen one?

I'm interested in the options because we've not seen any yet and we're currently on a 9 day fortnight which is great for the long weekend and the Wed/Thur off.

How many hours do you work each day on a 9 day fortnight?

I assume a 9 day fortnight involves working longer days but getting an extra day off? so around 45 minutes longer each day.... so rounds would have to all be changed....seems like too much work.

How do the days off work? rolling day off?

9 day fortnight looks best option, long weekend is fri/ sat mon / tue , every Saturday is only a 6 hour duty , Wednesday longest day of the week.

Thanks, will see what they come up with at our DO

The 9.16 Wednesday doesn't look very appealing to be honest, I've got a feeling that RM are going to try and stop us taking 20mins meal relief at the end of shift

Yeah Wednesday is the only pig of a day but a 6 hour Saturday every week compensates .

That would depend on what time you are finishing on a Saturday?

If you're finishing earlier great but if you are starting later then not much benefit in my eyes
