CWU taking a pounding in Facebook comments for their No more ODM with clapping hands emoji post and rightfully so

They must take us for absolute idiots to think we would swallow this s**t
I can only think they believe members have a short memory and can't remember the previous trialled methods.
It's as if they have been told by RM that this is being brought in, non negotiable. RM let them sit inside the tent long enough to tie it into a pay deal and the CWU get to name it and choose the colours of the frames.
Lol. The union only think they have a say in Royal Mail. It’s coming so we may all just accept and get on with it. At the end of the day, if it fails and mail sits in frames for days, who gives a bollocks? We all still get paid as we do now.
Still surprising there's no "stick" to encourage us to vote "Yes" I can't see how the CWU are going to get a "Yes" vote, when we're basically voting for additional work with nothing in return.
We are getting a pay rise and potentially more Saturdays off. How is it additional work when you are still working 37 hours? What I do in my time now will be exactly the same as what I do in my time when changes come in
We're entitled to an annual pay rise regardless?

When the changes come in you'll do what your manager tells you, at the moment you just do whatever duty you're assigned to each day.

Regardless I assume you'll be one of the few who'll be voting "Yes" then?
I’ll do what I have to do within my time and not a second more, which is exactly what I do now. Nothing changes.

Royal Mail will go ahead with it no matter what you vote. I’m not in the CWU so I won’t be voting for anything.
Why do people keep mentioning a VOTE…..I was under impression there is no vote on this,
Can somebody confirm this please 👍

There will be a ballot on this. CWU confirmed it on their facebook tonight.
Once the PEC endorses it, enough people will vote yes. Always will.

I'm not so sure they will this time, unless people are absolutely desperate for the 3%/4.75% pay rise, why would they vote for the "3 into 4" duties and a cut in OT rate for new contracts staff?

After the last dispute there was a nice sweetener to encourage the "Yes" vote?

Because people work to get money and want more money?

So you're one of the absolutely desperate ones, assuming you're in the union(?), let's see how many others they are.

Does the 2c which is released because a 1c letter has arrived just come with the usual MECH, if so, then it'll just sit in a tray with the other MECH until somebody gets around to prepping it on the following Monday as they'll be no prep done on a Saturday, as they'll become just like Sunday's, you'll come in sort the parcels and scan them for delivery, you won't be prepping MECH post or the flats if they aren't going out on a Saturday.

The only difference will be you'll also take out the 1c mail plus, possibly, NHS letters.

I can understand new entrants voting YES because despite the loss of the 1.25% OT rate and the rather pathetic few pence closer to legacy pay increase, there is something else which nobody seems to have mentioned. That is that finally we have a definite pathway to equalisation with the next step no later than next January, a timetable by that date too, and the government keeping an eye on them to make sure they continue working towards the goals of the agreement. Its not great but it offers more hope than when Walshy was talking about a 3 year wait.
