Sick leave

Post by Playmail »

Will our sick leave policy change in April with the new sick leave rules coming in place statuary sick pay from day one. It now being law that people can't be punished for being ill saying this as you don't get paid for the first 2 days of your second absence.

Apparently the weekly rate will be £123.25 so presumably we'd get just under £25 per day if on 5 days a week so an improvement over rm's nothing. :thumbup

I would expect a tightening of the screws now around sick leave and how it’s managed and how you’re managed back to work quicker or placed on zero pay quicker, I doubt anyone has actually looked at the sick policy particularly the part about being at home for working hours or accounting for why you’re not at home when on sick leave
