I'm of sick today, My.long weekend this weekend, what happens

I Just woke up feeling like crap and flu,d up, what happens as its my rest long weekend, will it count as sick? I hav3 booked to go away this weekend. Any help appreciated

Yes.

You're off sick from the first day you ring in sick until the day you go back to work, *including* scheduled days off, Sundays, leave etc.

If you're on leave tomorrow and off sick today, you can ring them up (before shift ends) and tell them you'll be in on you're next working day, the sick day will only be counted as today then.

Or if you're off sick tomorrow as well, just ring them tomorrow afternoon and tell them you'll be in Tuesday, will be 2 days sick then instead of 5.

No that's incorrect if you stay off sick they'll be counted as sick days you don't get them back

In that case, surely, if you.are sick on a rest day, that can't be counted as its a non working day.

If you go sick on a Friday and it's your long weekend off, but don't return until Wednesday, for instance - you will be put down for 5 days off. Friday-Tuesday.

Maybe PSP updates it when its entered into system..
I will not be back to borrow so will call them in the afternoon to notify manager I am fit for work Saturday but it is my rest day.

Updates what ? you're either off sick or you aren't, all the replies you've received have explained the process thoroughly enough.

Yes.

You're off sick from the first day you ring in sick until the day you go back to work, *including* scheduled days off, Sundays, leave etc.

They can stop your sick absence on your rest days if you ring in and say you are ready to come back but are taking your rest days so it doesn't have to count, depends on whether you will be back after long weekend.
Depending on your sick record it may cost you more money if you don't do that so speak to your manager and if no joy your rep.

Incorrect, no rest day sick absence shall count against you for conduct, if they do you can get CWU involved. It's in the attendance agreement, I know they have to input it into system, I'm not suremif it is automatically removed afterwards, possibly not, but counting towards.sick days for conduct, you can have it removed.

If you're sick on the Friday (for example) and also off sick on the next working day then all the days inbetween count as sick whether it's a normal working day, Sunday, or not.
