We have been told we can have an early dart on Wednesday if the office is clear.
There are 2 chances of that happening - fat chance and no chance.

Still, it is the thought that counts.
More Blacks.
More Dogs.
More Irish.

I can't start any earlier than I already am Clash, because the first train running is the 5:55am.

Meanwhile, I cleared my frame completely today, all 11 loops.

However the other round is 1 day old now.

Personally I don't like the early finish rules on Christmas eve. Some will be finished hours before others because they have smaller duties whilst others can hardly complete even when it's not Christmas.

The CSP is delivering more letters than the delivery staff with the constant stream of people coming in exclaiming they haven't had anything in three weeks.

I've got approximately (don't ask) eight bundles of 1C in the frame. It's basically as if the walk is tied up, but just 1C. That's roughly a 50% callrate, so at a minimum there's almost £400 worth of 1C sitting there now. 2C must be something on the order of £1,500. Oh, but the Moonpig cards go out cause they're Tracked.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

Perhaps the rules should be amended to 'you can go when the office is clear or your finish time' whichever comes first.

Oh hang on that would really upset our early finish super posties, forget that idea.

That's exactly what it should be but from what I've witnessed in RM it's not really about teamwork. It's more as long as my walks done that's fine. Unless volumes significantly drop next week I'm not getting out early.

As for Mr Rush, if you're on job and knock them you'll probably be finished by about Saturday!

The big question is how much there is upstream of us in the inward MCs and if RM will release it to us and when they release it. No idea yet if RM plan on turning the DTS off Tuesday night, think it'll depend on if they want the inward MCs to process and dispatch absolutely everything whether it's 1C or 2C.

Worst week in my 16 years at Rm. Absolutely relentless, thought of going sick must have crossed my mind 47 times just to get away from it all. Still I’ll try look on the bright side, 3 more shifts until the lapsing returns 😠

Pressed the service buzzer, "Hi, it's the postman"
"The postman? The postman!? We haven't had one of those in a long time."
Two hours into delivering a fortnight worth of 1C and having endured this several times over already, I am now thoroughly sick of taking a beating from the public for this company's shitshow of a service.

Handed the customer just three letters which set him off:
"Do you know when I last got any letters? It was 10 days ago!"
I told him that's four days better than the bottom half of the frame. One guy got three editions of Private Eye (one was a duplicate they sent out because he complained he hadn't received it - they sent the replacement via Whistl DSA :Applause).

Many more minutes of debate, for which I do not have time, pass.
"This is disgraceful for a government-owned service!"
"Sir, it was privatised twelve years ago. And as you can see, the service has declined in the exact same manner as all the other privatised services before it. As was warned."

Attempting to draw a line under the conversation, I suggested if he thinks this is shambolic he should wait to see next year. He declared he'll not be sending any cards again if this is what paying through the nose for a stamp gets you.
"That's exactly what Royal Mail wants."
Any Questions?

Don’t forget in 48hrs time it will all be over and there will no longer be any real viable excuse not to clear the frame and all the D2D’s and anything else that “xmas” has been used as an excuse for!

For MC’s overtime will be cut to the bone and all those agency staff will have to get used to picking up the odd shift again rather than coining it in since november!

Merry Christmas :dance

Ha, downgraded to 2C then, currently all DSA is classed as 2C.

Just about all Xmas casuals were gone Friday. Angard/casuals have been used every night for a few years now, won't be too long before they outnumber proper RM staff
