Internal transfer
If I were to apply for a transfer to an office near my home do I get priority over a new entrant?

Depends if the COM wants you or not.

Re: Internal transfer
If you mean would it be sensible for you to transfer to an office that has a job advert for a new entrant rather than the expense of employing someone new then I'd say yes but this is RM we're talking about, mind you having said that they might have to take on a new entrant to replace you so who knows.

Re: Internal transfer
Pop into the DO and speak to the COM. If there are vacancies ask if they are being advertised and if they are apply online. Your application will be dealt with as an internal application. If the contract hours are the same and you are the senior applicant the position will be offered to you. If the hours are not the same and another applicant has matching hours then it will be offered to the most senior applicant first. If it is an increase in hours the most senior applicant will be offered it first. If it is a reduction in hours you will need to accept a reduction in contract hours and the position will be offered to the most senior person applying first.geordieboy123 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025, 19:08If I were to apply for a transfer to an office near my home do I get priority over a new entrant?
