OFFICES WITH A WORKING REVISION

Post by POSTMAN »

Plenty of info on here on the failed ones,so would rather not have you post about that in here.
Can we only have ones that are working or ones that you feel will get better in time.

The site has been criticised for not providing information on working revisions, this is the 2nd thread of it's kind since the 1st one died a death.
You can PM me or one of the RMC team with your office in confidence.

If your revision is NOT working then please use the thread below...
Unrelated posts will be deleted if posted in here.

OFFICES WITH A FAILING REVISION.

If you want to discuss the criticism, see the link below...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

To be honest it all depend's what you consider a working revision. From Royal Mails point of view it might be just about savings, from a member of the work force it might mean one you are able to do on a day to day basis without bullying, from a customers point of view it might mean one that get's your mail to the delivery point within the USO.
to be a truly working revision it should hit all 3.

If Royal Mail are upset that there are not more revisions listed here why doesn't a senior manager sign up under their own name and list the offices that are working

They don't even have to give their real name, we just want them to come on and tell us and be able to back up their claims. Having a management perspective is always good just as having a CWU perspective is good, just because we rip into them doesn't mean we don't take on the information and use it to adapt our perspective (that's 3 uses of the same word in one sentence.............which is bad  ).

There are many dom's claiming that there revision is working in our area, dig a little deeper though and pouches and cars are involved, sorry RM but its time to realise that MAYBE it dosent work and stop wasting money forcing others to go through what some of us have already.

As welshy has said, it depends your interpretation of a working revision. In our office it is working to a degree, in that i mean no one is cutting off and bringing mail back on a daily basis etc. On the other hand, we are not doing p&l as it wasn't feasable at the time so are using bikes, trollys, and pouches, still with weight on shoulder. We weren't able to have 1 in 4 Sats' off as we were told it wasn't achievable so are still on rotating 5 day weeks as we were, and recently we are having people come in an hour early on o.t. to make a start.
So, really the "goodwill" and "spirit" and essence of the agreement haven't really been adhered to, but ultimately as long as the mail is cleared in RM eyes that's all that matters!

Christ not sure I want to post this after being pilloried last time, but in the interests of the thread here goes.

Wolverhampton D.O. is now about 8 weeks into its revision.

150 rounds, all full time duties and their cover, reserves etc all part time (sic) at 36 hours each.

No-one is on less than 36 hours. no bag carriers etc.

75 new combis and bippers are now being used daily with no-one, absolutely no-one now using their private car on delivery.

£600 (2nd payment) received three weeks after revision going in, and final £200 has been signed off and is due before Xmas.

Mon, Tues, Sat all going well (as expected) . 3 pairs out of 75 pairs unable to complete wed, thur ,fri. ( average 1bag, 1loop each)... These are currently being picked up with docket. But are currently being looked at to remove some work to fix.

Happy to try an answer any questions if I can.

By the way just because it has gone well so far, doesnt mean everyone likes the new way of working, some people positively loathe the changes and are looking to get out.
