I haven't heard any rumours except on here, but I don't expect anything.
Quick question regarding them though (instead of starting yet another thread), If you were full time when they were issued to you and you are now part time, or vice-versa (ha, bloody ha), does the amount of 'shares' you have change? :hmmmm

No...if you were issued a full-time allocation...that's what you have....and vice versa.

Thanks Fishtank. Not for me though  , always been an AG.
Still pro-rata of sweet FA is the same as the full amount.

The shares are being revalued by an independent body , the company is not in a great postion , it is losing revenue faster than it can introduce change. Add that to the pension defcit , the fact that the BTA agreement is going back to 2015/16 rather than 2013 also is hampering their ability.

Who knows wether they will be a colleague share payment or what amount will be paid. The CWU have raised this with the business and we will have to all wait to find out wether there will be a payment.

The shares are based on the value of the company dingo...not it's trading position or the effectiveness of the transformation program.
The value of the pension fund is not part of the valuation of the company....otherwise we would be throwing £23Billion into the pot.
The problem is the union has no idea what formulae Royal Mail have concocted to con the members out of their money.
The real question should be...What will the union do if Royal Mail renege on the share issue.
Roll over or fight?

as the colleague share payout is a major plank of bt 2010, i don,t believe the union will roll over if were stiched, but it will be decided by the membership what we do in response

full timers who left in the past, had their shares purchased off them.
I think the company should honor them, but there should be some communication, which is lacking about them.

Of course we will get a payment but it might be a pittance but a payment is a payment. The shares are being bought back from us so unless they are worth ZERO pence then some money will be had.

Right so really it's no different to backing a horse at 10/1 and it romps home at 3/1..................a bit of a gamble..............like why you never see a poor bookie but a punter with a sad face.
