"Business Transitional L" £169?

As I suspected before opening this weel's payslip, we have finally had our long overdue £200 revision bonus paid this week...

Given I am on a 22.5 hour contract (but often work close to a FT contract, as a "mercenary" cut-off postie), any ideas why my figure before tax deductions is £169?

It certainly isn't pro-rota, which would have been something closer to £125 and I've been an employee for ~15 months (had my induction day immediately before the final strike day was called off).

I always deduct a quarter of my estimated gross pay which gives me a pretty good guide to what I should get as my net wage
I am full-time.I would expect therefore to receive about 150 extra in my pay packet for a 200 bonus

Thing is, this £169.00 figure is in the gross pay column of my wageslip!

That could be the figure for 30 hrs at pro-rata. approx.Well more like 33 hours actually.Perhaps they have paid according to the average weekly hours you work,which would be fairer

It's based,i think on your average hours over a set period.

The agreement says (pro rata for part time employees) but it doesn't say based on contracted hours.
I think the same happened with the £400 for ratification of the agreement.

The thought of average hours over a certain period sounds intresting, thank fishtank, if only they did this for annual leave too!

I shall have to ask our rep about this and check on dates for the qualifying period, as 33 sounds about right until October/November.

The union said this about the £400...i guess it's the same for the other lump sums.

However, we can advise that in pro-rating these payments for part timers, this has been based on actual hours that part timers have worked over the previous 12 months, not their contractual hours. This explains why some individuals have received higher pro-rata payments than their contractual hours.

Wish it was FT but I'm sure this is another case of the dreaded "Local Agreement". Seems to depend on how desperate your DIM is to get his new BMW! Some are "Tighter" than others! Most PTers get Stiffed on the Pro-Rata Swindle.

As for Annual Leave Trolley.. I'm with you but I feel we're both living in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

Hi, I'm a new employee of royal mail and have been from September 2011, I got my payslip today with a Business Transitional LS and it is a hell of alot!! I'm on a 20hr wk contract for 3months! Thing is I don't wanna spend this money or put it away unless its genuinely mine!! Have they made a mistake or whats this all for?! Any help would be great! Thanks
