Hi there just wondering if anyone can advise on excess d2d's,
After doing 1/6 a day at the end of the week a number of walks are left with excess d2d.
We are being told by managers that any excess need to be delivered so just start again till all gone , surely this is not right as we are only paid for one delivery of d2d per week . Any advice or documentation much appreciated

Slight mistake on my part,it was the 2nd August,LTB is..............on it's way.
The issue has been brought to the attention of the Outdoor department who will be raising it with Royal Mail at national level and addressing it at a national joint working group coming up on the 2nd August.

Current practice should be to deliver all D2Ds required over the course of the week in the manner agreed at unit level. If that has been achieved, any excess D2Ds should be returned to managers so that the correct paperwork is filled out and excess D2Ds are returned to whichever mail/distribution centre you received them from.
Your managers are just being lazy - no surprise there!
If they are so concerned do a manual count, witnessed by a manager of all D2Ds, if they refuse and persist in you delivering the excess put in a grievance citing bullying.

Postman ... all too often there is discussion after discussion and all too little, too late as far as members are concerned. That applies across the board, not just to D2D!

As said above, just garbage, managers being lazy (who'd have thought it)
We have to write down how many excess we have which are then usually all collected up Saturday morning. I assume at some point they get returned to 'wherever'.
