Who has seniority....34 hr job has come up in office A, day off cover who works 3 days in office B and 1 day in office A fancies the job but so does a leave reserve who has worked for royal mail a year longer....who is above who, thanks in advance for any replies.

It doesn't matter what your job title or contracted hours are.
Seniority is purely based on length of service.

It depends on whether office A is the parent office of both members.
If the guy with the longer service is from office B he can't pick a duty in office A.

Office b is the day off covers parent office, whereas office a is the reserves

In order to apply for the position they would have to be transferred to Office A.
