TNT has sacked a postal delivery worker who had some 5,000 items of post stacked up in her home, including Christmas cards.

The post company discovered the post was not being delivered following complaints from locals in a district of Helmond.

Last week, Britain’s Guardian newspaper carried a feature on the Dutch postal system including an interview with a Selektmail worker who had dozens of crates of undelivered post stacked up in her home. http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 18&t=35722" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

From this dutch newspapers comments section:

I work parttime for TNT, like so many other post bezorgers, The real problem with the post is you pay minimum wage you get minimum wage commitment.
I'm lucky my wife has a good job and pays the bills, my pay is for a bit extra, most people could not survive no a postie's pay!
I'm a postman-and i know where you live.....
