A ten-year-old girl is recovering in hospital after being attacked by a dog.

Toni Clannachan from Kilmarnock was bitten in the face by an Akita dog while she played in a school friend's garden at a house on Tuesday.

She was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, where her condition is described as stable.

another one  some owners should be put down along with the dog,

Hope the girl will recover, the mental scars are something else, time to toughen up the law and ban some breeds that are unstoppable when they go bad.

How many more times, dogs and kids should not be left together even more so on hot days,Perspective owners should have an I.Q test before they are allowed to by these animals, and its not just big dogs a friend of mine has just had his grandson attacked by an American Cocker Spaniel, and faces the prospect of many operations to put right,he was attacked by the dog in a pub garden that some f*ckwit had brought in on a red hot day, dogs just want to be left alone on hot days.My sympathies to the poor girl and her family.

Some slight comfort for the youngster as the case was appealed successfully.
