What happens to your pension when sacked?

So as my topic says, what happens to my pension? is it frozen or can i transfer it to my new employees pension? I got dismissed from Royal Mail in January of this year for Gross Misconduct - Dishonesty as i threw a sickie and got found out, hands up it was a stupid mistake and luckily now i've got a job that i always wanted to do so everything has turned out for the better, didn't think that at the time but everything happens for a reason, i worked as a postman for Royal Mail for 11 years and 6 months, 6 or 7 years part time and the rest full time, any information would be gratefully appreciated.
