Holiday Parking at SO MC
Don't suppose anybody knows if it is possible to park at SO MC, just booked flights for a early sunday flight and discovered there's no public transport. Don't mind a small donation to charity or the tea fund! Cheers.

Re: Holiday Parking at SO MC
I doubt it as the MC would probably be closed on a Sunday. PM hubbahubba who would know. The nearest train station (which would serve both the MC and the airport - the MC is on the airport site) is Southampton Airport Parkway. It's served by South West Trains, don't know what other train operators call there. Have a look on qjump to see what the timings are like from your local train station to the Airport Parkway station.

Yes Southampton Mail Centre do offer the same parking as gatwick M/C, a donation to a charity, if you contact the duty room, there is someone in there who deals with it. I don't work there any more but i think the staff start at 6am on a sunday morning.

There's a train that gets into Southampton Airport Parkway railway station at 00.24 on Sunday morning so that wouldn't be too long to wait 'for a early sunday flight'therailway wrote:Don't suppose anybody knows if it is possible to park at SO MC, just booked flights for a early sunday flight and discovered there's no public transport. It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
