Same here. And packets still use the roads system. Although rumour has it that we will be trialling the "Golden Zone" idea in our flats section next week.adb2aber wrote: Oh and this is on letters only, the flats still sort on the full 64 selection.

Inward small packets here use a roads system. It seems like part of the WCM is to introduce as much double-handling as possibleDonk wrote:Same here. And packets still use the roads system. 1. Break down workloads into manageable chunks
2. Speed up the initial processing of this workload
3. Claim success and pay managerial bonuses
4. Tie up and gag staff who point out that these 'chunks' still have to be sorted
5. Pose for photos in Courier
6. Realise that it hasn't actually worked
7. Sack staff member for leaving an elastic band hidden under a york
8. Blame remaining staff for failure of WCM due to lack of enthusiasm.
9. Invent as many buzzwords as possible with bonuses for the stupidest.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

So how many Mail Centres does Swindon despatch to directly. Does mail for Gloucester go directly there or via the SWDC - or do mail centres only deal with regional hubs these days with Swindon perhaps dealing with just the SWDC and possibly London.

Swindon dispatches to SWDC, NDC, PRDC, ELDC for some of the 2C. Plus the evening airport runs. Monday there's direct 600s to GL, BS/BA/TA, GU and one or two others.
