Parcel going missing from the same post office

Post by drgeek »

I've been to the same post office between the 2 months period. I've posted 2 x parcel during that time.

Both are missing. (i.e. never arrived to the other side)

Both are Recorded Delivery. Royal Mail said they never arrived at their sorting area. Yet upon their investigation, they said the post office did send them out.

I don't think it's the people who work in the post office stealing them as they are old dear (3 x ladies) but I could be wrong.

So where did they go?

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

How would Royal Mail know if they arrived at their sorting area? Only special delivery items are fully tracked. The first time recorded items would be scanned would be upon delivery...

I don't know how it works. All they've said that it has left the post office but did not arrive at the sorting area?

When I entered the tracking number for the 1st parcel, it says "There is no data currently available for this tracking reference. Please try again later." and for the 2nd parcel - "Item xxxxxxxxxxx was posted at xx, xxxxxxxxxxx on 20/11/11 and is being progressed through our network for delivery."

Does seems odd...

I guess no one knows?

Should I report this to Post Office HQ? Or Royal Mail?

Recorded delivery is one of the biggest cons going. All it proves (if you get a signature)is that somebody ,somewhere signed for it..

By far the biggest con would be saturday specials.EXTRA £3.80 over a normal special and they will both be delivered on saturday
