A report from one of our members who asked me to post for him

We had our first strike today and only 4 went in (out of about 45) even those who had crossed the picket line in 2007 where out and even on the gate, so I'm pretty happy with the result. They must've brought in 30 managers/other staff today even though the post didn't go out  and they even had them arriving in hire vans, the thing is it must've cost them a fortune to pay for them all to do bugger all but I suppose that's their way forward.

Another bright note is nobody got knocked down this time :chuckle but with the way the managers drove in (at speed and not seeming to look where they're going) I'm a bit surprised.

4 offices in the Manchester (M) post code area have voted yes to strike action so far. Our office is taking part in a ballot as of last week. It was decided by Manchester Amalgamated branch that ALL offices in the M district, about 28 offices I think, will be ballotted
