Angard, Agency and Casual Staff Recruitment

Post by POSTMAN »

Dear Colleague

Angard, Agency and Casual Staff Recruitment

Branches will be aware that in September of this year LTB 804/11 was sent out from the Postal Department relating to Angard.

Following a recent PEC Recruitment and Workplace Organisation meeting it was agreed to highlight to Branches the opportunity the Christmas period gives the CWU to recruit Angard, agency and casual workers.

Branches should now be approaching Angard, agency and casual workers with a view to recruiting them into CWU membership.

A special Angard membership form has been devised for these workers and is available on the website. To obtain copies of the membership form click on the “Join Us” box then click on to the box with the Angard Staffing Logo. The Angard membership form is listed there alongside a separate membership form to be used when recruiting other agency and casual workers.

The Postal Department are currently in the process of producing literature to assist Branches in their recruitment efforts. However, in the absence of literature Branches should ensure they make every effort to engage these workers with a view to recruiting them into membership.

Any Branch who requires any assistance in this matter should contact Lynn Browne on 07753 776364 or email lbrowne@cwu.org.

Yours sincerely

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
