Does anybody know if RM are still offering buydowns and VR? A mail centre near us is closing next year and employs over 300 staff, many of whom will want to be redeployed.

banner you seem to be givin up thinkin iv it does close everyones goin to stampede to the nearest delivery office, so wrong mate is the mail centre movin in with sumone else iv so all staff will be moved there or offered evr. thats what happened at our mail centre.

AFAIK before a revision there is usually a preference exercise where people are asked if VR, Buy Downs and Transfers would they be interested in considering them. Then if the revision goes ahead and there is a surplus of staff those that have expressed an interest would be contacted.

No sure though if a MC closes they would offer any of the above to local DOs though.

Most of the staff at our MC have moved on to another one or taken EVR. The number of MC staff that have taken up posts in our DO = 0
