Having a chat with a mnager about the strikes and my unions stance on it and I got told that he went down to london - park lane / mayfair and he did the round in an hour with another manager, And that its a london problem, the rounds are too easy .LOL I KNEW THIS BOLLOCKS WAS COMING

I then asked why scotland were all out too in a similar pos to london?

He said he didnt know, I suggested he didnt know anything

I asked him if this was the briefing he had been told to give to the reps of offices? He denied it. I laughed at him and said you must think im stupid. I know what RM have been doing to my colleagues in london and its disgusting.

Oh and their latest tactic is to spread s**t to our mail centre that some of my colleagues went to their MC last week and scabbed. Trying to make us hated some more. not true at all but an indication of how low these lot will stoop

We had the same talk as well - we were urged to make our vote count because if 50 hard cases voted yes at my DO and no one else did then we would be on strike - did not like to point out that would only happen in the case of a local ballot not a national one

Another section had a similar briefing and apparently the manager went on to discuss the fact the we were going to be pegasused again and that they would also introduce the BSI 100 system with the aid of the IWT. One bright wit said "Thanks for giving us the reason to vote Yes"

i think its a waste of time talking to managers simply because they seem to have a script that they qoute of and our manager is more of a puppet than a manger cant make a desicion without getting on the phone to his senior manager

I had the same crap 'I went to London and did the duty in 2 hours' and 'It's a London problem not yours' so I asked him why the other offices are out all over the country-no answer and I've spoken to posties all over the country and they've all got this exact briefing - again I was just ignored.

You can't trust a word that managers say , we had a simular conversation on the gate last week with our Dom as usual he did'nt know what he was talking about and was so full of bull that you knew his only intention was to divide us, in fact his daily talks on the strike probably angered more than he divided.

Get Rid off that Rep he should be backing his Union, that is what you have to do as a Rep. If he no longer supports the national line he should do the decent thing and resign

Do you know what...that is exactly what I had in my hand during the meeting. He remained unconvinced but I read loads out that weren't London or nowhere near it. I think it's a lost cause with him, as the meeting seems to have divided us even further.

I despair at our position at the moment, as the 2007 agreement really has screwed us, and the management seem to do what they want. We implemented Pegasus last year and each decision to do with that seems to have caused more problems than solved. I've done no lapsing this week and left mail. I'm somewhat demoralised.

Seems the only thing left to do is... look after number one and vote 'yes'. If anything a 'yes' vote to me is standing up against the way the management are operating. Unfortunately there won't be that many along side me (unlike 2007)

Totally agree with you brothermagrew,
we at Dundee east support all our London brothers and sisters in the real fight against a RM management which is intent in totally destroying the great job each of us performs.

They have forced EA on us ; remember we did not ask for it to be implimented!; Pegusus which was supposted to even walks [joke!]; Summer Efficency and keep trying to divide us by telling lies about London etc
