Deliveries of ordinary mail will be very limited today, however, we will deliver as many Special Delivery® items as possible. We will collect mail from as many post boxes, Post Office® branches and business collection customers in the L32 and L33 postcode areas as we can. Where these are possible collection times may vary from usual.
The enquiry office at Kirkby will remain open as normal, for customers to collect items for which we’ve left a ‘Something for you' card.
We're sorry for the inconvenience caused to our customers as a result of this action.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Why are they taking action? Don't tell me we actually have an office in the country that is standing up against these knee knackering, hip grinding workloads?

probably just a local spat, but what we need is a national revolt against the shoddy managing of all offices.

I would suggest it's probably over the suspension of a local Postie....that normally seems to motivate the membership more than anything else. Anyone from that Post Code able to cast any light on the subject?

I work at the office. It's regarding renovation work as part of the revision and staff believe safety issues were undisclosed so are seeking admittance from the company that's all I can tell you. In all honestly like everywhere else I think the pending revision is becoming a reality....nobody wants it! The Kirkby office is renowned for sticking together and squaring up to management.
