Royal Mail Loans?

Post by danny326 »

Hi, my name is Daniel and I'm from the Peterborough branch. I have been working for the company for over 7 years as a Network Driver. I was just wondering if any one knows if Royal Mail offers loans for employees, repayable on a monthly basis? I know we have agreements with Vauxhall etc for car leases, and we have some good discounts with other companies - just figured I'd investigate the possibility of finance through work.

Any ideas?

The problem with all 4 though is you usually have to save with them for a year to get a loan.
Although this year Commsave done a 'xmas' special where if you had at least £1 in savings you could get a loan.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Or you could go cap in hand to the government and ask them for a couple of billion because you really need to modernise (keep it very generic) and then plead poverty and you wont even have to pay it back :nervous

If you want a small loan get a credit card with 0% interest. Usually available with periods of up to 15 months. Pay it off as fast as possible or at least within the 0% offer period. There may be an offer fee of commonly 3% of the amount borrowed, but still cheaper than bank loans, and way way cheaper than payday loans

and if unable to pay off the card at the end of the 0% then balance transfer for a small fee(around 2-3%).much much cheaper than a loan.
