Royal Mail bankrupt by February
Everyone in our office was called to a huddle this morning.
Management told us explicitly that urgent savings had to be made immediately. Failure to make sufficient savings by February would result in staff not being paid as there would be no money to do so as Royal Mail faces insovency.
It was stressed that this was a national brief and not a local issue.
Did anyone else have this brief?

Ask him to put in writing so you can hand it to the press, see what he does then.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If Royal Mail is in such a dire financial position why did they pay that little bald f****r to stand and watch me sort flats for over 2 hours on Wednesday?
I was almost intimidated by him.
When they get rid of the deadwood known as line managers then I might start believing the apocryphal tales.

Re: Royal Mail bankrupt by February
So what's the difference between now and several years ago when we where losing £1million per day
who paid the wages then?
PS. £400million profit last year, big management bonuses because of that figure so where has it gone?
plus Who is going to buy a bankrupt company that is continuing to lose business and money, if they want it then they could get the whole thing for £10 from the receivers by the middle of next year

i did 2000 by next year. Although they said they would be "managers that are surplus to requirements like HR". We all laughed...DGP1 wrote:I'd have asked when the managers are going![]()

I've already told my children they aren't getting any pocket money on the strength of this rumour.
