To: Postal Branches & RML ASRs & ADRs.
Dear Colleagues,
Cycle & Associated issues-Report & Progress (No 10).
We have received a number of inquires from Royal Mail Area Safety Reps regarding difficulties with Cycle Mechanics receiving the accredited training stated in the revised Cycle Policy. Dave Armour, CWU WDG member has contacted Royal Mail assets team regarding this problem & has been advised that the Cycle Mechanics training should be arranged by the relevant DOM/WAM via the PALMS system.
Can any ASR encountering problems with gaining the required training for Cycle Mechanics advise the DOM/WAM they should contact Dave Dodd, Frontline Learning Services at HR. Could ASRs also inform the CWU Health, Safety & Environment dept of problems encountered so we have a trail / record of any problems that are not satisfactorily dealt with.
Any issues regarding this LTB should be raised with the relevant dept.
