Nappy Rash

I am sure lots of people say "this is for a friend" when they write to agony Aunts but this really is for a colleague.
A colleague (NOT ME) has been suffering from nappy rash or something like it.The usual creams haven't helped any so they went to the doctor.
The Dr said that it was a result of walking,chaffing and sweating and the best option may be to consider a BC&S.
I live near a ladies beauty parlour where they do Brazilians and Bollywoods so I enquired for my friend (NOT ME) if they did this as it is not advertised.
They said they did it for quite a few gay men and would do it for my friend but it costs £85.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
Can you have just C&S? Is £85 expensive for this sort of thing?
Any advice would be very welcome for my friend (NOT ME)

He has got postmans rash - I get it from time to time even in this weather.

I just apply Vaseline to the affected area (inside of thighs) when it itches and the itching goes away. Less expensive than a BC&S any day.

I had chaffage, caused by massive holes in crotch area, (no new trousers allowed for another year) and vaseline did the trick. Brilliant stuff!

Surely this is Dobies itch - normally caused by using the same towel to dry your groin and feet when you've got athletes foot.

After that I've never suffered again.
Advice was don't use talc (never did) as it attracted moisture or Vaseline as it clogged the pores and causes bacterial infection which is why it reoccurred so easy, and get new underwear. I got some alpine lowe dryflo sports/walking underwear and its beeen great since. Yes they cost £16 a pair but well worth the cost for a couple of pairs.

Used to suffer myself years ago with chapping till I cottoned on to the fact it only happened when me pants were wearing a bit thin.

Vaseline is a good preventative...

If it gets a bit red and angry Sudacrem is the one to use.....

I let it get too far once and it all turned into a nasty thrush type rash, feckin agony.....

Always got Vaseline and sudacrem in me locker now....

Wearing shorts helps keep the area aired too

This Treatment will work and you will see results within days ,from the skin being bright red to gradualy pink then (white or what ever your skin colour is )

Go to any large pharmacy,ASAP

You require Canesten HC cream


The small tube about £7.50 YOU DO NOT NEED A PRESCRIPTION FOR THIS SIZE,IF they tell you different ask them to check. Large tube require a prescription ,small tubes do not .

Canesten HC cream contains two active ingredients, clotrimazole and hydrocortisone. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medicine used to treat infections with fungi and yeasts. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid medicine that is applied to the skin to relieve the symptoms of inflammation.


Another effective alternative drug free treatment, sea water, sitting in the sea for some time over a period of days will also clear it

First option is quicker though.

Sudacrem doesn't help and if vaseline was the answer I don't think there would have been a problem
He will try the Canestan but the pants seem very expensive.Are they worth it?

No pants and all bare but then did anyone really expect anything else from me

Canestan cream I get a really bad infection in my foot and this is the only thing that helps but quite embarrassing to go into the chemist and asking for it (not for me but the wife ).
