NO CANTEEN ,NO TIME TO EAT EITHER!

WE HAVE NO CANTEEN IN OUR OFFICE ,ALL WE HAVE IS A VENDING MACHINE WITH OH SO HEALTHY CHOCOLATE BARS OR CRISPS.THE OTHER MACHINE HAS FIZZY CANS OF COKE .WE ARE RACING ABOUT LIKE MANIACS IN OUR OFFICE ,THEN WERE KILLING OURSELVES FOR NEAR 4 HOURS WITH HEAVY BAGS ON OUR BACKS YET WE ARE OFFERED THIS GARBAGE FOOD! ASKED ABOUT EVEN BOTTLED WATER OR JUICES SO WE CAN TAKE ON OUR DELIVERY,,,,,SHRUG OF SHOULDERS AS NORMAL !!! ITS BAD ENOUGH TRYING TO FIND A SECOND TO HAVE A MOUTHFUL OF JUICE OR A BITE OF STHING , YOULLE NEVER GET THE BEST OUT OF YOURE WORKFORCE IF YOU TREAT THEM LIKE CRA P , YEP MY VOTES IN!

we have no canteen no machine either pay 50p a week and make ur own tea or coffee

Are there big enough numbers to warrant a canteen facility at your offices? Or are you for example small SPDOs?

We have a canteen ,but due to the changes we had three years ago we dont have the budget for a staff and as we changed to job and finish they stopped it due to lack of customers.We have vending machines,crisps,chocolate,e.t.c. Vending machine for coke,diet coke and a coffee machine.
Over 200 staff.We do have a local burger bar which we can order from if you want hot food.But as no one takes a break as we dont have any time due to the changes you end up either eating your food at your frame or on the IPS (they havent stopped this yet!).So the days of 40 min breaks have gone.I know people will say take your 20 mins before going out,but believe me when you get the new pegasus and start times implemented you realy dont have any time left!

I do its just the rest of the muppets in my office dont They come in 30-40 mins early run round and cant see whats wrong!
To be honest they've made the problem themselves,infact most will vote NO in the ballot as they think as we have implemented the changes that they'll be ok in the future! But as we dont have a union rep they will be in for a big shock when we're working 8-5 mon -sat !

You are right that is a disgrace that you have no hot food and your office needs to do something about it.

I sympathise with you but you're not alone. Our office has:

No canteen
No vending machines
No microwave
No toaster
No comfy chairs
No rest area
No proper heating
No cleaner
No fridge (we do have one of those can cooler things though!)
No toilet seat on one of the toilets (for at least a year)
No hardstanding or cover for bikes
No room to work in

Apart from that we have everything they have at RM headquarters!
