On May 27, 2010, Greene was appointed Chief Executive designate of the United Kingdom's Royal Mail.[6] Replacing the departed Adam Crozier from early July, the first non-Brit and first woman to hold the post, her duties are expected to include the part privatization of the UK's postal service.[4][7] Greene, who has a daughter and will become the highest paid UK Civil Servant on a basic salary of £500,000, will be based in London.[1]

In the last three years 2007 - 2010 RM paid 7.2M in bonuses to just 12 people (the chairman, executive and non-executive directors) including a hefty 2,428,000 for Crozier alone. As of last years annual report they were currently in negotiations over a new bonus deal for 2010 - 2013. Oh and Crozier took home a basic salary of 633,000 in his final year, obviously Moya is not worth as much!

So, if she's on 500,000 a year she gets more for having a dump than I earn all day. And thats if she works a forty hour week - which I highly doubt.

She has turned a working profit in Royal Mail Letters into a working loss, and at the same time has presided over a huge deterioration in group profits. Without trying I could have achieved a far worst position for the shareholder, and I wouldn,t have charged them anywhere near as much :roll: :roll:

Well on Tuesday she saved the company 80 million quid , so I consider her value for money :wink:

She might well have saved the company £80million but she has just lost the goodwill of 120,000, and when it comes to next winter, lets see how far that goodwill will go then.

Her basic pay won't be the end of the matter. There will be bonuses and a nice fat pension, that makes ours look like a paupers! :sad:
