well I guess instead of stamps we're all getting a Mary Poppins bag for our Chrismas then - cos all that crap won't fit in the standard issue Royal Mail pouch.

But guys and girls, remember the matrix. The ones who cut off or go sick will be out to save hours. The place is turning into a gulag.

But that's another thread.

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

we've already supposedly got the sheet for the christmas pressure d2d's. we will be taking them. some walks have only got 1, the most we have is 2 and quite a few walks haven't got any. still ludicrous though that we should be taking any! on a sideline is it true that come election time we don't get paid for election material any longer? heard this today.

I wouldn't read too much into that sheet...you only need to book a D2D contract 3 weeks in advance now and Royal Mail need every penny they can get so....how many weeks until the start of Christmas pressure? :nervous :nervous
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Its the M.O.J ( Ministry of Justice ) that pays us for doing Election material a think, so we should still be getting paid for doing it. If and thats a big IF Royal Mail put a stop to paying us - i for 1 won't be delivering any Election Material.
Last year i had 4 Election Leaflets to deliver, well down on the previous Election which if memory serves me right i had 12 or so. So am passing some woman who out delivering a different Party leaflet and she was getting paid 20p something per leaflet. So if RM put a stop to it am sure she'll be rubbing her hands with glee at the thought of all those £ signs.

I am trying to help you guys & gals .... since i left the hellhole that is RM, i have been working for myself as a market trader selling greetings cards and associated products.

Have been selling boxes of xmas cards since July/August, so hopefully my customers will be sending them early and spreading the load :Very Happy

Seriously, i still see many of my former colleagues ( small town ) and they are not happy bunnies

I'm actually still in the CWU  as my injury claim against RM is still ongoing !!!
