saving hours

Post by kimski1976 »

so your office has 500 hours for indoor work in one week. and your target is to not go over 520 hours or try avoid any over time. so, your office in one week hits its target , actually being under budget. quite amazing for our office. whats more amazing is when your area manager reponds to that by saying. 'hmmmm, i dont understand why people booked in overtime on friday. hmmmm, why do people book nothing in monday and tuesdays but always wed, thurs and fris'.

its just getting ridiculous. we speant an hour in WTL talking only about saving hours. our manager went on for ages about the week before when all week only 2 hours was paid in overtime. just 2 hours! 18 quid. i thought of 2 great ways to save hours. firstly, sack the area manager. only thing they do now is tell offices to save hours. and sack the cover manager in our office who prepped up a walk and then had to deliever it.... a manager!!!! doin a normal postmans job. for 1 week. lol.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
