As in previous years, Royal Mail will be recruiting thousands of extra people from local communities to help support the permanent postmen and women.

Royal Mail are looking for reliable, hard-working individuals to work primarily in our mail centres and parcel sort centres.

Applicants should be over 16, and successful candidates would ordinarily be expected to:

Be able to stand for long periods of time

Be able to lift up to 11kg, and push wheeled containers up to 250kg

Be flexible and adaptable, changing from one role to another to move the work along the processing chain

"We are seeking a high volume of candidates for data entry/keyer roles with Royal Mail this Christmas:

Roles will start at the end of November and run for up to 5 weeks up until the Christmas week
Pay rates are highly competitive and vary according to the shifts undertaken, starting from £7.80 per hour
Candidates must be available for the duration of the booking and will only be considered after completing the induction training in late November

Note that we have a number of shift opportunities including Days, Evenings and Nights. Shifts are ordinarily 7 hours long per day. Please note that candidates must be over 18 years old to work Night shifts.

Due to the high volume of roles we are filling, a series of recruitment events will be run by Angard Staffing throughout September, October and November 2017 at Royal Mail."

"Angard will recruit for specific positions as required by Royal Mail Group Operations, but will also advertise for applicants to join their employee "pool" to be recruited ready for deployment on assignment within a geographic area.

Following the completion of an employee contract with Angard, successful applicants will join the Angard employee pool, and will subsequently by contacted by Angard in relation to specific assignments.
