ROYAL Mail have confirmed services are now 'recovering' following delays in Harwich.
The town has fallen victim to delays but residents have rallied round their posties throughout a difficult few weeks.
In a statement, Royal Mail said: "We're pleased to confirm, resourcing issues and associated self-isolation at our Harwich Delivery Office have improved, and services are now recovering.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding."
Earlier this month the company confirmed ten members of staff in its Harwich delivery office have the virus and some other members of staff are self-isolating.
As minor delays are still expected for a short period, they added reassurance that delivery of vaccination letters will be "prioritised."
Customers can check Royal Mail updates every day to find out if their postcode is affected by the ongoing postal delays.

"Employers are always seeking more productivity from workers, without considering the human factor, the worker's age, the weather conditions and the intense heat. We need to intervene before it's too late, reducing working hours and the load carried by workers, because it's impossible to sustain the rhythm they're forced to work at for many years."
