A rural Stirling postmistress is celebrating more than 30 years service with the Post Office.
Ros Dingwall has worked at Aberfoyle Post Office since 1986 when she and her husband Tom moved to the village from Balloch where they had run a hotel business.
In April 1991 Ros took over as postmistress at the Main Street premises after her husband left the postmaster role to become a postman there.
During the pandemic Ros had to shield and she received the help of staff and her daughter Tami to keep Aberfoyle Post Office running.
Post Office area manager Susan McMahon this week praised Ros’s contribution over the years. She commented: “We are extremely grateful for Ros’s commitment, she is an incredible asset to the business and has served her community for an amazing length of time.”
Ros has also been a member of Strathard Community Council for around 25 years.
Ros commented: “I am delighted to receive this long-service award.

"Employers are always seeking more productivity from workers, without considering the human factor, the worker's age, the weather conditions and the intense heat. We need to intervene before it's too late, reducing working hours and the load carried by workers, because it's impossible to sustain the rhythm they're forced to work at for many years."
