Hello all
Over the weekend I purchased shipping for a package online at royalmail.com using Tracked 48. I dropped it off at my local DO yesterday (they open on a Sunday for a few hours). As my printer is out of action, I used the QR code on my phone for the guy to print me a label at the DO as is advertised.
The parcel was allocated Tracking Number TQ044562985GB.
I'm a bit concerned as the package still has status "Sender despatching item" - it doesn't suggest it is in the RM Network yet, although I dropped it off yesterday.
The guy printed the label from my QR code and applied it to the box but then just put the item in a tray nearby; I am wondering if it should also have been scanned in via a handheld device?
I am sure it won't come to this but I am worried that I have currently zero proof of postage if nothing else now happens to the package?
Any pointers or reassurance gratefully received, thanks as ever for the great work you all do!

Re: Worried about Tracked 48 dropped off at DO
I'd wait another day. It could have just been left for someone else to scan, and that someone else though it had already been scanned.
The supplied code you gave is invalid btw.
Come Wednesday if it still hasn't been scanned i'd go down there and ask. The helpline number isn't helpful most of the time.

Re: Worried about Tracked 48 dropped off at DO
Thank you both for your input and reassurance - much appreciated!
For future reference, should the barcode be scanned at the DO when dropped off? I know when I have had collections at home it is scanned on the doorstep and I get an e-mail proof of postage shortly after...
Thanks again ! :)
