Help with 2 parcels

Going to opposite ends of the country, both dropped at "the magic postbox" which is a parcel drop box we always use for various parcels.

These two are the same item and have both gone missing, not arrived at their destination yet. But other parcels, including one posted 2nd class arrived the next day (posted at the same time) so the plot has definitely thickened.

She used signed for did the missus, not tracked, all we have so far on the message is that message will be updated when RM try to deliver the parcel. What does that mean? Has it been physically received anywhere? Or?

Both tracking numbers are here and it's over a week now since these were dropped and other parcels at the same time have arrived, these are going to Newcastle and Southend on Sea, so it's a concern for sure... What are our options here?

There's nothing you can do at the moment I think apart from wait it out and as you didn't use a tracked service
you can't see if they're actually moving through the system.

You can put in a claim for compensation for lost items 10 working days after the items were due to arrive
at their destination see: https://www.royalmail.com/retail-compen ... olicy-loss - and to do so
you would need proof of posting which I'm not sure you have from your posting.

The fact that two items have not been delivered yet others have is just one
of those things that happen sometimes that their might be numerous explanations for - weather delays,
vehicle breakdowns or accidents, staff absences, address labels becoming damaged or coming off etc.

The plot thickens further as one of the parcels has arrived at its destination, we've just had a message, but the tracking isn't changing, will that update overnight, or?
