Couple of questions for new contracts!

Is there a written rule about how long a van check should take?

How many parcels are expected to be delivered in a certain time?

Scenario = due to start at 2.30 and finish at 6.30, the managers have the old fello scan in our routes for starting. The time leaving depot is set at 3pm sometimes 2.50. They also set finishing time for 7pm and if lucky 6.55pm. They justify adding extra time because they said we have been managing to clear. Getting 70+ parcels. Getting city centre also at time of day.. would old skoolers sit back ? Or Bury head and get on woth it !

You can't set a finish time on RON so they must just keep on adding parcels until they get to 7pm? Assuming you are delivering fairly close to the DO then 20 per hour is a reasonable number, so 70 this seem too far wide of the mark. What happens if you can't deliver them all, do you just bring them back or have to notify your manager?

As far as van checks assuming the van has already been used earlier in the day then a van check shouldn't really take that long?

They scan them in on RON. And keep adding parcels and updating route until a finishing time that suits..
But they add our parcels up until 7pm..
