Their hourly rate is more than the ones on the old contract, go figure a union who agreed a deal with this in place tells you everything about this company and union.

The overtime rate after 40 hours is, they are on much lower pay before that kicks in.

And the enhanced rate after 40 hours is still less than a delivery postie on the older contract would earn per hour.

Correct, the new rate is £12.29, then overtime over 40 hours at 1.25x so 12.29 x 1.25 = £15.36

I've just worked out my rate taking into account we get delivery supplement and paid breaks works out at around £15.50.

I am on a “new” 40-hour contract. I am paid £14.60 per hour, with overtime paid at £18.25 per hour. I’m more than happy with that – even if I have unpaid breaks and no delivery allowance.

You should be ,the pay works out roughly the same only you work an extra 3 hours but do get paid a better overtime rate
