Post interview waiting times
Feeling a little frustrated, had my interview on 21st September which I thought went really well. Ten days on and I haven't recieved any communication on the outcome of the interview. Anyone know how long it takes for them to get back to you?

Re: Post interview waiting times
As per loads of threads on here it's a waiting game I'm afraid, they are notoriously slow, sorry.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Post interview waiting times
I've emailed them and they've emailed me several times each, but they pretty much say the same thing every time: we're sorry for the long delay, we're working through the backlog and hope to contact you soon.
It's s bit of a joke at this point. I see on these forums that others who were interviewed half as long ago as me have already been offered the job and have a start date. Thing is, they told me I was successful and they want to offer me the job but they are waiting on paperwork. That was 6 weeks ago.
It's hard to imagine what is going on at this point.

Re: Post interview waiting times
i really feel for anyone joining RMG at any point but if anyone gets a start oct/nov especially with the on-going revisions it will be a nightmare start for them with probably very limited training too
if you do make it into january, get past the parole stage and be tough because they can be ruthless with no scruples

Re: Post interview waiting times
Hey there,
Had my interview 10 days ago too, I was told that I would receive an email from HR the beginning of the week after the interview.
I didn’t receive an email and called my SO where I interviewed yesterday, as there are other posts now that have come up in my local area, and it’s my understanding you can’t apply whilst you have an application open at this point. Anyway, I regret calling, the manager wasn’t in and I feel like I may have upset the person who took the call.
So I guess just waiting

myapplication@royalmail.com no longer seems to be a valid email, I tried that one already and receive "undeliverable - delivery has failed" back.POSTMAN wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021, 17:30What email did you use?DogEyedBoy wrote: ↑01 Oct 2021, 22:23I've emailed them and they've emailed me several times each, but they pretty much say the same thing every time: we're sorry for the long delay, we're working through the backlog and hope to contact you soon.

I've been in contact with 3 separate people within the HR team. There was the person who sent me the original email to arrange my interview (Customer Services Advisor - Frontline Recruitment), and then the person who emailed much later apologising for the delay (Recruitment - Customer Service Advisor), and then the person who the second person's automatic message told me to email because they were on holiday (Team Coach - Operational Recruitment).
All three have emailed me more than once apologising for the delay, but they never actually answer my questions or elaborate further on any sort of time frame.
