Post interview waiting times.

Post by AnonymousPostie »

Its been weeks since my interview and still no definite yes or no. I've had 3 emails saying that they b are delayed and they will have an answer the next week but every time they haven't got back to me in the time they said they would.

Are HR usually this bad at handling things?

I don't think so. HR are dealing with an unusually high volume of applications at the moment. This comment is from another post on this site:
"The recruitment team is struggling with 400+ per week applications from around the business.
3 times more than the team can handle".

OP got offered a job a few days ago, so they must have waited about 6 weeks. I'm on 10+ weeks so far and still heard nothing concrete.

OP and I both interviewed for a Postal Apprentice position, so if you interviewed for Postperson that may change things, but given the disparity in waiting times, who knows what they are playing at.

Right now I'd say think yourself lucky if you hear anything in the next month.

Hey everyone!

So today must be the day for it..

I did apply for postperson and I received the phone call from HR today…

I can’t tell you how delighted i am, I’ve been forced into working from home for 18+ months now.

Wishing you all good news with your applications/new roles.
