Will Angard Staff Receive the Pay Rise on 26 Feb?

Post by NW11851 »

RM staff receive their backdated pay increase next Friday, 26 February.

Under employment law we should be treated equally.

Does anyone know if Angard plan on paying the backdated pay and the new rates then or will we have to wait for weeks/months to be treated the same?

I've not seen any notice cross my desk.
Currently, at my office, RM staff overtime can't be inputted till next week.
Any RM OT worked isn't paid out till March 5th.

I'd guess and say Aug/Sept

I write to them this morning reminding them of their obligations under the law.

All Angard received the following at approx 17:25:
‘ Date: 22nd February 2021
Dear Sir/Madam
We are pleased to report that Royal Mail Group (RMG) have agreed a new pay structure, which includes new pay rates for AWR qualified workers the 2020/21 financial year.
The pay increases are outlined below:-
• 2.7% pay increase backdated to April 2020 for CWU graded colleagues
• This will be implemented from 22nd February 2021 for the financial year 2020/2021
• If you are entitled to backpay for hours worked since April 6th 2020 this will be automatically calculated and paid to you on the 5th March If you have any queries relating to the new agreement, please contact us at 0333 240 8502 to discuss this.
Many thanks,
Angard Staffing’

Amazing news! Recently Angard workers have been included in weekly lateral flow covid-19 testing at our Mail Centre too.

The gap between agency and Royal Mail part-timers is closing fast :Applause

Should the new pay rates be showing up in Joined Up? I just checked my shifts from this week and the pay rates are still the same.

Not until they commence payment.

Out of interest, I queried why the rates of pay shown on Joined Up bore little relation to the rates in the Rates PDF document.

I was advised that Angard had not yet implemented the integration of Joined Up pay rates and merely used the hours worked snd scheduled shifts part of the Joined Up suite of programmes.

They use SDWorx for the pay rates.

I take it that the email about the pay rate and back pay has been received by all?

As I understand it Royal Mail has had the backdated pay but the new pay rates won't be implemented till the end of April for RM staff.
Can't remember why but remember reading it somewhere in the office.

Hourly rate increase and back pay is on payslip this week. Back pay about £40 less than I expected as hourly rate has only increased 2.5%. Could be due to some of the shift allowances not increasing? Whenever there is back pay or holiday pay you invariably end up emailing payroll.

Gained access to my latest payslip this afternoon and successfully received full backdated pay from April 2020 to now, plus increased pay rates are in effect on last week's shifts :dance
