Using Agency Staff other than Angard

Post by zarrow50 »

SMMC in Northampton used a lot of staff from Major Recruitment over Christmas, many travelled on buses quite a distance it was said.
Angard recently sent an email about no shows and shift allocations saying no shows will result in a shift suspension
and also not to show up unless a shift is guaranteed, confirmed that you can do it'
and as they have over 800 people on there books shifts will be rotated. But why have Angard taken on so many people
and if they have that many why are other agency staff used?

Angard got caught out in the first lockdown and RM had to go to other agencies.

They won’t want to lose business again.

Also, they often recruit. Casuals leave, have other problems.
It’s a fine balance between everyone getting shifts regularly and no-one being available when really needed.

Totally agree with the previous post. RM have used other agency staff in the past and the current situation will see that continue.
Angard as an agency to fill all situations need to have overstaff on their books. Hence recruiting continues.
