Informal sickness reviews and annual leave

28 Apr 2020, 17:38

In my mail centre we seem to be having informal sickness reviews on a monthly basis and we are being asked about, why we take annual leave (they suggest that this is done to try and help, if a postman/woman has time off because of some trauma or event in their life that was tragic etc) and if at a regular time each year, why?
Has any other mail centre or delivery office had similar?

Informal sickness reviews and annual leave

I had a review because I had some sick in April two years ago. Manager said it’s a pattern. I said it’s not. He said it is. I said it’s an occurrence not a pattern. He said “can we talk about that absence?”. I said “I’ve already talked about it”. He said “Have you? When?”. “When I did my return to work two years ago” I replied. He eventually give up and walked away.
