Changing office

Post by Tommar »

Hello everybody.
I'm the new here and I tried to find some information about changing office but I can't. I think about changing office and I have some questions. I hope I will find the answer here :).
When I want to change the office I have to apply somewhere or just speak with my manager?
I work for Royal Mail for more than 1 year and I have a permanent contract.
If I would like to change the office for example from Scotland to England then my contract can be changed?
On my contract, I have 28h per week and after when I change the office my hours can be out changed for example for 15h/w?
Will I speak to my new manager before or after transfer? Is it looks like an interview or just loose talk?
Thank you for your help.
Regards

Rule of thumb is to go to the office/s where you want to transfer to and try to speak to either the manager or the rep.
The contract you get there will be what is available there and nothing to do with what you are on now.

Good luck!
