Honoured holidays

Post by karensw50 »

I am starting at RM 16th August and In the interview my holidays were honoured. The thing is my holiday is 2 and a half weeks after I start .
Will I get paid that week or will it be unpaid ?
Thanx 😊

It should be paid, but a word to the wise make sure that you inform the manager (and rep if you join the Union) on the first day. You may feel uncomfortable doing that but it will forestall any problems when it comes to taking it.

The manager will not know that you have leave that needs to be honoured, for some reason recruitment don't tell the office you are assigned to.
